Lena Dunham has injured her finger in a bikini line shaving mishap.
The ‘Girls’ star has announced on Twitter that she will be away from her phone as she badly damaged one of her fingernails whilst trying to trim away her public hair.
She wrote: "I want to text you back so bad but I broke my fingernail shaving my bikini line with a dull razor. This is a PSA!"
The ‘American Horror Story’ star has a history of injuring herself in awkward situations, and has previously admitted to hurting herself so badly while filming her HBO show ‘Girls’ – which Lena is the creator and writer of – that she had to get physical therapy.
She said: "I’m fairly accident prone and lots of things have happened to me on set. But in the last week of filming I ended up having to go to physical therapy because of a sex scene injury. I was like, ‘I may not seem athletic, but I’m a beast, and my hip flexors are so open, according to my yoga teacher. I can do anything; do not worry about my body at all.’
"The next morning I woke up and something was very wrong. And that was Wednesday and by Friday I was pretty much immobilised.’
Meanwhile, Lena – who actively advocates body positivity – feels "happy joyous and free" after gaining 24 pounds.
The ‘Tiny Furniture’ star says she feels so much better at the higher weight as it was "impossible pain" that resulted in her shifting the pounds.
Lena – who split from her musician boyfriend Jack Antonoff in December 2017 – shared on Instagram: "On the left: 138 pounds, complimented all day and propositioned by men and on the cover of a tabloid about diets that work. Also, sick in the tissue and in the head and subsisting only on small amounts of sugar, tons of caffeine and a purse pharmacy.
"On the right: 162 pounds, happy joyous & free, complimented only by people that matter for reasons that matter, subsisting on a steady flow of fun/healthy snacks and apps and entrees, strong from lifting dogs and spirits. [sic]"
Although she is pleased with her fuller figure, Lena still has body hang-ups and took to Twitter to admit she is disappointed her breasts aren’t bigger.
She tweeted: "The fact that I don’t have tits is actually a huge practical joke. Nite!!! [sic]"
