Wes Nelson ‘uncomfortable’ doing bits with Laura Anderson

Wes Nelson "felt uncomfortable" having sex on TV with Laura Anderson.
The ‘Love Island’ finalist – who is now in a relationship with fellow former Islander Megan Barton Hanson – has revealed he came close to doing the deed with Laura, 29 – who he coupled up with at the beginning of the series – but he didn’t fancy "doing bits" with her because of the cameras.
He said: "It wasn’t a secret [that I nearly had sex with Laura], basically, it started and I felt uncomfortable during and I stopped.
"It wasn’t the full shebang if you know what I mean."
Despite being the founding member of the ‘Do Bits Society’ – a tongue-in-cheek group Islanders joined if they had been intimate in the villa – Wes admitted he "wasn’t ready" to get jiggy with it with Laura, and stopped things from getting too heated.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan UK, Wes added: "This was when it was early on. I was uncomfortable initially with the cameras and it was quite alien seeing the cameras. So it was uncomfortable and I didn’t feel like I was ready to do it at the time. She was ready to do it, I wasn’t as ready.
"There was a lot of pressure, and obviously it was a big talking point. It’s supposed to be an intimate moment, and quite private – especially if you’re still testing the waters and getting to know someone…"
He then joked: "And then I formed The Do Bits Society."
Wes did have sex with his now-girlfriend Megan, 24, whilst on the show and finished fourth during Monday’s (30.07.18) final, which Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham won.
This year’s contestants will come together for one final time in ITV2’s ‘Love Island: The Reunion’ on Sunday (05.08.18).
