Demi Lovato fans urged to keep sending her love

Demi Lovato’s backing dancer has urged people not to spread "negativity" in the wake of the star’s apparent overdose.
The 25-year-old singer was rushed to hospital last week after she reportedly took a mystery substance and was found unconscious in her home, and whilst her fans are keen to find out exactly what happened to the star, her backing dancer and close friend Dani Vitale has urged people not to point fingers and blame others for the incident.
Writing in a letter on Instagram, she said: "I care about Demi just like all of you do. I have not said anything about this situation until now because her recovery has been of the most importance.
"I was not with Demi when the incident happened, but I am with her now, and will continue to be because she means the world to me just as she does to all of you.
"Like all of you, I have nothing but love in my heart for her. There is no need for any negativity toward the ones who care about Demi at this time. There is too much of it in this world as it is."
Dani then went on to urge fans to keeping "sending love" to the ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ hitmaker as she continues her recovery.
She added: "I know you’re all feeling lost without her at this moment in time. Remember that you have always been a community of Lovatics who LOVE. Please remember that when you take out your phones and start typing. Remember that we all love her more than we can ever put into words. Please continue to send her love during her recovery. (sic)"
Demi had previously celebrated six years of sobriety earlier this year, but revealed she had broken that milestone in a track called ‘Sober’, which was released in June.
The star is currently being cared for in hospital and is expected to go straight into rehab once she’s discharged.
