Bev Callard calls for return of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps

Bev Callard has called for a ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ reunion.
The 61-year-old actress – who is best-known for her starring role on ‘Coronation Street’ – also appeared in the BBC sitcom and has called for the show to return to the air in time for its 20th anniversary in 2021.
The call was prompted by a Twitter user, who initially wrote: "@Mellor76 @Sheridansmith1 @RalfLittle @KatkinDrysdale #nataliecasey @Beverleycallard started watching #twopints this week & I love it as much as the first time round! I’ve laffed out loud so much I’ve cried…please say you are filming a reunion ep for the 20th anniversary [praying emohi] (sic)"
And Bev subsequently replied by tweeting: "We would love to. X (sic)"
The sitcom series starred the likes of Ralf Little, Will Mellor, Natalie Casey and Sheridan Smith.
And Will, 42 – who played the part of Gary ‘Gaz’ Wilkinson on the show – previously admitted he’d love to reprise his role.
He said: "I think it would be great to do ‘Two Pints’ live on stage – a one-off show where we go to different cities to say thank you because we had a huge following. Without that we wouldn’t have lasted more than two series’ because the press wasn’t that kind to us.
"I think if we could get [screenwriter] Susan Nickson to write us a script – maybe a bit of a musical – it would be great fun."
