Carol McGiffin returning to Loose Women

Carol McGiffin will return to ‘Loose Women’ panel for the first time in five years next week.
The 58-year-old presenter previously appeared on more than 1,000 episodes of the ITV daytime show – having last been seen on the programme in 2013 – and her comeback was confirmed on Friday (29.06.18).
The star admitted she is "a bit nervous" about returning as a guest panellist, but said it will be great to be back "with the girls".
She said: "Almost exactly five years ago I did my last show on ‘Loose Women’, and I have to admit I’ve really missed it – in more ways than one – so I’m absolutely delighted to be back on the show next week.
"I’m a bit nervous, but mostly I’m excited to be sitting behind that desk again with the girls, doing what I do best – talking rubbish!"
‘Loose Women’ boss Sally Shelford has heaped praise on the impact Carol had on the show’s run over nearly two decades, and said her return should keep the recent 3,000-episode celebration rolling.
She added: "Carol has played an important part in the show’s 19-year history and is a much-loved part of the ‘Loose’ family.
"We’re in a celebratory mood having recently marked 3,000 episodes, so it seemed like the perfect time to invite Carol back onto the panel for a catch up and to hear some of those famous opinions once again."
Revealing the exciting news live on air, Denise Welch, 60, confirmed viewers will get to see Carol back next Thursday (05.07.18).
She said: "Next Thursday sees the return of another old bird. Guess whose coming back? Carol McGiffin!
"She’s just texted me to say how excited she is. She’s a little bit nervous but she can’t wait to share what she’s been up to."
