Paddy McGuinness to present new game show

Paddy McGuinness is set to present a new game show on BBC One.
The 44-year-old presenter has signed up to front the broadcaster’s forthcoming prime time programme ‘Catchpoint’ on Saturday evenings after it announced plans to launch two new shows in a bid to match Strictly Come Dancing’s success.
‘Catchpoint’ will require contestants to use their brains as well as their physical skills as they’ll be fired a series of questions and they must stand under the answer they think is correct – but it won’t be that easy as they’ll have 10 answers to choose from.
A ball will then be released from a trap door above the correct answer and the contestants will need to be quick on their feet to catch it, The Sun’s Bizarre reports.
Although the BBC are keen to have Paddy – who is best known for presenting ITV’s dating show ‘Take Me Out’ – as its presenter, the comedian won’t be able to trial the challenges himself as he admitted recently that he has arthritis in his shoulder.
Taking to his Instagram account at the beginning of the year, Paddy uploaded a photograph of a white plaster on his shoulder and he captioned it: "Morning! Nursing a poorly shoulder today. I had an ultra sound steroid injection in it yesterday. The reason, arthritis? I’m 44! #knackered #shoulderfrigged (sic)"
Meanwhile, Paddy – who has three children, twins Penelope and Leo, four and 21-month old Felicity with his wife Christine – recently ruled out having anymore children.
He said: "There are no plans at the minute to have any more kids. We’re way too busy for that! It is very busy. It seems like we have a lot on but at the minute we’ve got quite a bit of time at home, so we’re going to try and enjoy the weather. Do all the days out over the school holidays. We’ll do weekends away and that sort of thing."
