Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie preparing to tie the knot in Scotland

Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie are preparing to tie the knot in Scotland today (23.06.18).
The 31-year-old actors – who played lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte in ‘Game of Thrones’ – are set to marry at Wardhill Castle, which is owned by the bride’s father Sebastian Leslie, who with his daughter is a descendant of Charles II.
Speaking outside of the stunning grounds of the magnificent 12th-century castle – which beds 16 people in the main building – Seb said he is "thrilled" for the couple, who have hired a local business to put on a feast for their guests.
He told press: "We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today.
"It’s a great day for Aberdeenshire. We are using local caterers, local light, local flowers."
Wardhill can be hired out for private weddings, with the website reading: "The castle offers a superb backdrop for a marquee wedding on the lawn for your big day complete with floodlights to illuminate the castle whilst watching fireworks from the terrace!"
Kit was spotted at Rayne Church, near Inverurie in Aberdeenshire, earlier today wearing a morning suit.
Mumford & Sons, whose frontman Marcus Mumford was seen hobbling on crutches as he arrived into Aberdeen airport hours ago with his bandmates, are performing at the reception.
Whilst Kit and Rose’s co-stars in the HBO series, Emilia Clarke [Daenerys Targaryen] and Peter Dinklage [Tyrion Lannister], flew over a day earlier.
In April, it was reported that the ‘I Will Wait’ hitmakers are scheduled to appear at the castle where the pair will get hitched in front of around 80 close friends and family.
A source said at the time: "Kit and Rose are huge fans, so they jumped at the opportunity to get Mumford & Sons to perform at their wedding.
"Kit met the boys on Graham Norton’s show in 2015 and he’s kept in touch with them ever since.
"He was thrilled when the band agreed. They can’t wait either. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime gig given the very ‘Game Of Thrones’ setting."
The couple confirmed their engagement by posting an announcement in the Forthcoming Marriages section of The Times newspaper.
It read: "The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire."
