Hollyoaks’ Ross Adams recalls Coronation Street PA work

‘Hollyoaks’ star Ross Adams used to be faced with "unbelievable" stress trying to get Michelle Keegan ready on time for an awards ceremony when he worked on ‘Coronation Street’.
The 36-year-old actor is known to soap fans nowadays as the Channel 4 show’s Scott Drinkwell, but during his younger years he used to work as a personal assistant on now-rival soap ‘Corrie’, and admitted it could be tough getting Michelle – who played Tina McIntyre – ready for glitzy bashes.
He said: "When I actually started I was the PA to the producer of Coronation Street, so my job back then was that I used to get the cast ready for the awards.
"I used to make sure that they were on the red carpet on time. The stress I had with Michelle Keegan to get her ready on time. It was unbelievable."
While Ross is in front of the camera rather than behind the scenes at awards shows nowadays, he finds it "terrifying" walking the red carpet and having his picture taken.
Speaking on ‘Good Morning Britain’, he added: "It’s terrifying, I hate it. I mean you guys will be used to it by now.
"It feels so bizarre to stand there to have my picture taken."
But he didn’t have the same issue at his recent wedding, admitting his now-husband Phil Crusham was the one who was rushing down the aisle.
Speaking in April, he said: "When my best friend Caroline and Rachel Adedeji sang ‘What About Love’ from ‘The Color Purple’ musical as we signed the register, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
"Just before we walked in, the string quartet started playing Elbow’s ‘One Day Like This’ as our entrance song. We both looked at each other, held hands and that was when I thought I am really going to burst into tears.
"We started walking and Phil was so nervous, he literally galloped down the aisle! I was like, slow down! It was hilarious."
