Joshua Jackson dating Alyssa Julya Smith

Joshua Jackson is dating Alyssa Julya Smith.
The 39-year-old actor previously admitted he had found dating to be a struggle after splitting with his girlfriend of 10 years Diane Kruger in 2016, but it seems he has now finally moved on, as he has struck up a relationship with Cheddar TV host Alyssa Julya Smith.
A source told E! News: "It’s been going on for several months now."
The insider claims that Alyssa met the former ‘Dawson’s Creek’ star in Los Angeles where she lives, and the pair have been working on a long distance romance whilst Joshua stars in Broadway play ‘Children of a Lesser God’.
On Saturday (02.06.18), the pair were spotted on a date in Manhattan’s famed Central Park, and now that Joshua’s Broadway show has come to an end, the star is "expected to be in Los Angeles more", where he can spend plenty of time with his new beau.
Whilst it’s unclear exactly how Joshua and Alyssa got together, a source previously claimed the ‘Fringe’ star was using dating apps to help him find love.
They said: "Josh is playing the field and has even started using dating apps.
"He’s still cut up about Norman and Diane, but getting back into the dating scene has been a welcome distraction.
"It won’t be surprising if he’s seen with a lot of other women in the coming weeks, but the ones he’s been seeing so far haven’t been involved in the showbiz industry."
And Joshua himself has previously admitted the dating scene had changed drastically since he was last single, because of the reliance on technology.
He said: "Things have changed a little bit since last time I was single. Maybe it was there, but I don’t remember it. I mean, everything’s on your phone now, right?
"There’s no more talking to people anymore. You talk to somebody and they’re like, ‘Ugh! No, no, no, no, no! We don’t do that anymore.’ So, yeah, it’s been quite a big change."
