Declan Donnelly jokes about absent Ant

Declan Donnelly made a joke about his absent sidekick during the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ live semi-finals on Friday (01.06.18).
The Geordie star’s presenting partner Ant McPartlin has been largely absent from this series of the TV talent show after he returned to rehab following his arrest for drink driving in March.
However, Dec managed to poke fun at being separated from the other half of his double act as he introduced a pair of jazz singers, Dennis DeMillie and Marvin Muoneke.
He said: "We start with two men who are absolutely inseparable.
"They’re a double act everyone loved in the auditions and now they’re back together for semi-final week. Must be nice."
While Dec kept a straight face following his quip, judge David Walliams could be heard laughing in the background.
Meanwhile, Dec recently admitted the ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ finale in Florida was "tinged with sadness" as he had to present the show without Ant.
After the show finished, he told the live audience members: "Thanks for all the love and support, it’s been a series tinged with… well…"
As he struggled to finish the sentence, one audience member shouted: "We miss Ant!"
Dec replied: "Yes, we do, we do. It’s tinged with sadness. Can you all give a one round of applause for Ant who is at home."
The audience began to clap, and the clearly-moved star said: "Thank you so much, I know he will appreciate that a great, great deal."
