Martine McCutcheon ‘hit hard’ by Dale Winton’s death

Martine McCutcheon says Dale Winton’s death has hit her "quite hard", but admitted his funeral was the "perfect way to say goodbye" to the TV legend.
The 42-year-old singer-and-actress performed a "really poignant" reading at the late ‘Supermarket Sweep’ host’s central London memorial on what would’ve been his 63rd birthday on Tuesday (22.05.18), and she was glad he was remembered with such an "exquisite" service.
Speaking at the premiere of her new film ‘The Bromley Boys’ at Wembley Stadium on Thursday night (24.05.18), she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I did a reading for him and it was really poignant and really perfect for him.
"It’s hit me quite hard, but I know the service was exquisite and it was perfect for him.
"If you have to say goodbye it was a perfect way to say goodbye."
Numerous stars turned out to pay their respects to the former ‘Hole in the Wall’ presenter – who passed away in April aged 62 – including Gloria Hunniford, Christopher Biggins, Matt Lucas, David Walliams, Tony Blackburn, and Anthea Turner – and Martine admitted Dale’s service was the "most heartfelt" funeral she has ever attended.
She added: "It was a phenomenal turnout. Everyone was in their best glad rags, because that’s what he would’ve wanted.
"It was just the most glamorous, beautiful and heartfelt funeral I’ve ever been to. It was just lovely."
Vanessa Feltz was also in attendance to remember her late friend, who she says would have loved the "beautiful" send-off.
She added: "It was a lovely service, but the terribly sad thing was how much Dale would’ve enjoyed it.
"It was really beautiful, there were the most magnificent white flowers, it was in an exquisite setting with all this music.
"Claire Sweeney was really punching home ‘Alfie’, and Blue were fabulous. The readings were fabulous. David Walliams was very, very good, Martine was terrific.
"It was very warm and people just really miss because he was really good fun."
