Faye Brookes’ Manchester bombing tattoo tribute

Faye Brookes has been inked with a bee tattoo in tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star took to her Instagram Stories to show off her new inking of a worker bee – which has been a symbol of the north western English city, where ‘Corrie’ is filmed, for decades – at the top of her back.
On the picture, she wrote "proud" and tagged in singer Ariana Grande, who was performing a show at the city’s Arena venue when the terror attack took place, leaving 22 people dead.
Faye’s ‘Corrie’ co-star Connor McIntyre paid tribute to one of the victims, soap super-fan Martyn Hett, by sharing a picture of himself with the fan.
He tweeted the caption: "#ManchesterTogether #BeMoreMartyn #22 (sic)"
A number of ‘Coronation Street’ cast members, including Catherine Tyldesley (Eva Price), Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby) and Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor) also paid tribute to the victims from inside the soap’s Rovers Return.
In a short clip on the show’s Instagram account on the one-year anniversary of the tragedy yesterday (22.05.18), they said: "Manchester together in one voice."
Mikey North – who plays Gary Windass – then said: "Tonight, wherever we are, Manchester, we’re all singing along side you."
What’s more, former ‘Emmerdale’ and ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Gemma Atkinson – who was born in nearby Bury – took to her Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute.
She wrote: "A year ago today terrorists did the unthinkable to our beautiful city. Innocent lives were lost and many lives were affected. But the spirit of Manchester didn’t break. It cannot break. In fact, it made us stronger. So they lost. They lost at trying to have us living in fear of them. They lost in trying to scare us away from doing everyday things and they lost in trying to control us. Today I stand proud and shoulder to shoulder with every other Mancunian. And together we raise our middle finger to terrorism, and most importantly, we remember those who lost their lives in our wonderful city. We remember all of you and we will never forget you. #ohmanchesteriswonderful. (sic)"
