Adam Thomas has become a father again.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star has announced that his wife Caroline recently gave birth to their second child – a baby girl – in a post uploaded to his Instagram account.
The 29-year-old actor shared a photograph on Monday (21.05.18) night of Caroline cradling their newborn daughter – whose name is not yet known – whilst asleep on the sofa next to their three-year-old son Teddy.
He wrote alongside the shot: "I owe you everything @carolinethomas23 (sic)."
Caroline is yet to announce her baby girl’s arrival on her own social media sites.
Adam and Caroline announced that they were expecting their second child in December last year after they conceived on their wedding day in August.
Caroline said at the time: "I’d been feeling really tired and then suddenly it hit me, that was exactly how I felt when I was pregnant with Teddy. My mum went out and got a test and I left Adam downstairs while I took it. After I realised it was positive, I gave it to Teddy and told him to give it to Adam. I downloaded a pregnancy app and worked out that we got pregnant on our wedding day."
The couple were over the moon with their baby news but admitted at the time that they weren’t planning to start trying for another little one until next year.
Luckily for Adam, their second child turned out to be a girl as he said last year that he was desperately hoping for a daughter and would "cry" if he found out she was.
He explained: "I’ve not cried throughout the pregnancy but if I find out we’re having a girl, I will probably cry. I’m convinced we’re having another boy so it’ll be quite overwhelming if I find out we’re having a daughter. I see the way Ryan [his brother] is with his daughter Scarlett and it’s a totally different relationship to the one I have with Teddy. Being a dad to a girl would be a lovely experience."
