Zoe Henry doesn’t want Emmerdale scenes with husband Jeff

Zoe Henry doesn’t want her ‘Emmerdale’ character going "anywhere near" her husband Jeff Hordley’s alter-ego.
The 44-year-old actress plays Rhona Goskirk in the ITV soap, and Jeff portrays Cain Dingle, but she enjoys not having many scenes with his hard-man character, and insists they have a "fairly normal" relationship off-screen.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I don’t really have scenes with him. That’s the joy of it – we never really work together.
"We work in the same building, we know the same people, we can talk about the same things, but we have very different days. And that’s how I like it.
"I don’t want those characters going anywhere near each other.
"Whatever your job is you can always go home and talk to your partner or your friends about your day.
"I think we’re fairly normal in that respect."
‘Emmerdale’ has featured several hard-hitting stories of late, including Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) historic grooming and sexual assault, and Charlotte Bellamy – who plays alcoholic Laurel – admits the stars of the soap tend to include some "lightness" in between takes to ease the dark moments.
Speaking at the Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards at London’s Royal Festival Hall, Charlotte said: "We all get on very well so you try to add a bit of lightness between takes and at the end of the day.
"There’s that kind of nice, light atmosphere which kind of eases the scene a bit."
Sally Dexter added: "We’ve got each other’s backs."
