Justin Bieber praises mother on Mother’s Day

Justin Bieber has heaped praise on his mother in honour of Mother’s Day (13.05.18).
The ‘Sorry’ hitmaker took to Instagram on Sunday to share a throwback picture of himself embracing his mother Pattie Mallette, and referenced the 1997 Boyz II Men song ‘A Song for Mama’ in the caption, with lyrics that praised her for being there for him throughout his life.
Posting the track’s lyrics, he wrote: "You taught me everything
"Everything you’ve given me
"I’ll always keep it inside
"You’re the driving force in my life, yeah
"There isn’t anything
"Or anyone that I could be
"And it just wouldn’t feel right
"If I didn’t have you by my side
"You were there for me to love and care for me
"When skies were gray
"Whenever I was down
"You were always there to comfort me
"And no one else can be
"What you have been to me you will always be
"You will always be the girl
"In my life for all times (sic)"
And the post seemed to go down a storm with Pattie, who took to her own Instagram account to share a baby photo of Justin in a religiously themed post.
She wrote: "Sweet angel warrior king.. May God renew restore and preserve your purity, keep your heart as strong as it is soft, and bless you with humility honor and RIDICULOUS FAVOR all the days of your life! You are made for greatness. Let your BIG light shine. We all need what you have. Please forgive me of all of my shortcomings as I forgive you of yours, past present and future!! Bless you to be all you were created to be. What an honor it’s been to know you and watch you grow as your mother. We got this. #LoveWins (sic)"
Justin and his mother’s touching posts come after the 24-year-old singer admitted in 2015 that he had drifted from his mother as a result of his turbulent past.
He said: "I was distant because I was ashamed. I never wanted my mom to be disappointed in me and I knew she was. We spent some time not talking, so it takes time to rebuild that trust. She’s living in Hawaii now, so it’s hard, but getting better. She’s an amazing woman and I love her."
The pair patched up their relationship when Justin turned his life around, and now have a strong bond.
