Bella Hadid and The Weeknd enjoyed a date night together on Friday (11.05.18).
The 21-year-old model and the 28-year-old singer recently sparked rumours they’d reignited their romance after they were seen kissing in Cannes, and the speculation has been given further credence with the sight of the high-profile duo attending a screening of ‘Ash Is Purest White’ at the annual film festival in the south of France.
The duo previously dated for a year and half, before splitting in November 2016.
Since then, The Weeknd – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – has dated American pop star Selena Gomez.
Meanwhile, Bella – who is the younger sister of fellow model Gigi Hadid – previously admitted that in spite of their split, she’s retained strong feelings for the chart-topping musician.
Speaking in 2017, the brunette beauty shared: "I’ll always respect him, and I’ll always love him.
"Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you’ve fought so hard to build."
Bella was widely praised for dealing with her heartbreak in such a mature manner, but the model confessed she found it tougher than many people appreciated.
The American star admitted she was heartbroken about the collapse of her first real romance, but realised she needed to "pull through".
She said: "It was my first breakup … and so public.
"As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it’s always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily. It’ll be hard for a while. Love hurts, but you have to pull through."
