Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby to make Corrie cameos

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are to appear in ‘Coronation Street’.
‘Corrie’ boss Kate Oates has confirmed the ‘This Morning’ co-hosts will join the soap for a cameo appearance as part of Rosie Webster’s (Helen Flanagan) exit storyline.
She said: "Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are coming in for a bit of fun and part of Helen Flanagan’s exit story.
"We’re kind of replaying a bit of a trick we have used before because Rosie has already been on shows but it will be great comedy. Phil and Holly will play themselves."
While Kate – who will depart the ITV soap in June to join drama series ‘Bancroft’ – is keeping specific details of Rosie’s exit under wraps, she has hinted the co-presenters could "play against type" when they appear in the show.
She added to Metro.co.uk: "I had a couple of hopes where I thought I could get them to slightly play against type.
"They’re such good sports – I am very happy.
"That’s the benefit of being in a big production company like ITV – I know Emma Gormley who runs daytime – she’s an amazing, successful person and a good friend of mine so I was able to give her a ring and she said, ‘Yeah, that sounds fun.’ "
Helen is leaving the soap to go on maternity leave, and she recently teased fans they can expect to see an "hilarious" exit plot.
She said: "I’m going out in kind of very much a Rosie style. The storyline is hilarious. It is really, really funny.
"I’ve enjoyed that about my character, the comedy."
Helen – who has two-year-old daughter Matilda with partner Scott Sinclair – recently admitted she is "definitely" keen to return to ‘Corrie’ at some point, but is "not sure when" that will be.
Captioning a picture of herself and her and Sally, she wrote: "Love this pic we took the other day on set, love this lady xxx my last month @coronationstreet before my maternity leave going to miss everyone so much especially my screen mum and sister @brookelevivincent definitely want to return as Rosie just not sure when that will be xxx (sic)"
