‘Cruising With Jane McDonald’ has been commissioned for another series.
The popular travel show, which sees the nation’s sweetheart Jane McDonald sail the seas on various cruise ships around the world, has been given the go-ahead for fourth instalment after it was nominated for a BAFTA at this year’s TV awards.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Jane loves doing the show and viewers love watching it. They’ll have to wait and see where Jane will take them next but while there’s sea to sail, Jane will be cruising."
Channel 5 have confirmed that the 55-year-old singer has started shooting for the next series, although details about where in the world it’s being filmed are being kept under wraps for now, and it will return to screens this summer.
A Channel 5 spokeswoman confirmed the news in a statement, saying: "We can confirm that there will be a new series this summer."
The show has seen Jane take a Christmas cruise through Europe, a wildlife cruise in Iceland and see the glitz and glamour of Hollywood with a Californian cruise.
And the brunette star believes the programme is so successful because she doesn’t follow any scripts.
She said recently: "I said please don’t give me scripts, just bring the camera and we’ll make it up. And it couldn’t have turned out better."
