‘This Morning’ bosses can change the weather in their new studio every day.
The award-winning brunch show – fronted predominantly by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield – has just moved to the BBC’s former set up in West London and bosses have pulled out all the stops to make sure their fake background looks as real as possible.
Producers spent the past year filming the weather from their old Southbank view so that they they could match the real outside conditions with the footage they have recorded.
A source told The Sun Online: "It was filmed throughout the seasons and looks really authentic. Everyone has been so positive about it, it’s been brilliant."
A spokesperson for the show added: "We love the view so much we brought it with us!"
Viewers were left puzzled at the beginning of the week when they tuned in to the show to see Holly and Phil, who present the programme Monday to Thursday during term times, hosting live from their new studios with their old background and set up.
The pair joked that they could barely tell the difference thanks to clever technology.
Phillip, 56, said: "You shouldn’t really be able to tell any difference."
Holly, 37, added: "It’s the same but just slightly bigger."
While a lot of props from the old studio came with them to the new station, bosses haven’t spared any cash when it came to their lavish makeover as they bought a glass-topped coffee table, a fancy new arm chair and a dining table costing £1,550.
