Aston Merrygold’s son sleeps through the night.
The former JLS singer and his fiancée Sarah welcomed their first child, a son named Grayson, into the world just over a month ago, and they have admitted the tot is "a good boy" because doesn’t keep his parents awake in the early hours of the morning.
Speaking about being a hands-on dad, Aston said: "We share it all as much as possible, but obviously Sarah feeds him. Daddy is on nappy duty a lot which is fine. Grayson is a good boy so I can’t complain. He lets Mummy and Daddy sleep, which is very helpful."
But being a dad hasn’t been smooth sailing for the 30-year-old musician, as he admits he finds it tricky understanding what Grayson wants when he hasn’t developed the ability to talk.
When asked what the hardest part of being a dad has been, the ‘Beat Again’ hitmaker said: "You usually take care of number one and then you get into a relationship and you think about that person all the time, but this is a whole new level. At least a girlfriend can communicate and walk – a baby can’t. If they’re sitting there and breathing heavily, it’s like: ‘Okay. What’s wrong?’"
Aston and Sarah got engaged on Boxing Day (26.12.17), and the couple are looking to tie the knot this year.
The ‘Everybody In Love’ singer told OK! magazine: "We’d love to get married within the year – we need to find the right venue and then we can get it all sorted."
Aston first met the blonde beauty back in 2012 when Sarah was working as a back-up dancer for JLS.
Meanwhile, Aston recently revealed he was planning to get his "whole back" tattooed in tribute to his baby.
When asked if he’d get an inking in honour of his child, he told BANG Showbiz: "Oh definitely. I’m not sure yet, I don’t know honestly, I just think being as were going to all over the place anyway as soon as baby’s here, so it’s probably going to be another spontaneous one, probably with my whole back or something."
