Mo Jamil thanks Voice coach Jennifer Hudson for her support

‘The Voice’ winner Mo Jamil has praised his coach Jennifer Hudson for continuing to give him unwavering support following his time on the talent show.
The 22-year-old singer was guided to success by Jennifer when he was crowned the winner of the pop star search series in 2017, beating Sir Tom Jones’ act Into the Ark into second spot.
Mo won ‘The Voice’ last April and soon began working on his debut album ‘Evolve’ for Polydor Records but although her job was done on the ITV programme the ‘Dreamgirls’ continued to support him in his musical journey.
The musician has been in regular contact with Jennifer, 36, and she has given advice every step of the way of the recording process, something Mo is incredible grateful for.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Mo said: "We stayed in touch and Jennifer has always been on hand to give advice, especially when I’ve doubted myself. That’s been important to me, she’s very supportive, she doesn’t allow you to doubt yourself.
"She’s really encouraged me with my writing I couldn’t have a better coach to be honest. She’s busy herself with her music and her own life but she always makes it clear that she’s always just a message away at all times. I’m really pleased how everything has gone and everything she’s done for me."
Mo’s LP will drop at the end of March and he has worked with a number of in-demand producers and songwriters, including Mr. Hudson, Maths Times Joy, Artery Music and James Earp, and although Jennifer does not feature her influence is all over the record.
He said: "There’s no musical contribution from her on the album, but she has given me so much guidance. She’s always had her ear open to my music, I’ve sent her stuff and she’s always listened to it and given me advice on it. Jennifer has given me a lot of guidance to keep my head and that’s given me a lot of confidence too."
Mo’s new single ‘That Feeling’ – which he co-wrote with Swedish musician, producer and songwriter David Kjellstrand – is out now.
