Alan Carr set for Hollyoaks cameo

Alan Carr has landed a cameo in ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 41-year-old comedian has been filming on set in Liverpool, north west England, today (26.02.18) with his two Irish Setter dogs Bev and Joyce ahead of the trio’s guest appearance on the programme for his ‘Crufts Extra’ chat show, which he co-hosts with Clare Balding.
A source told BANG Showbiz: "Alan has been shooting a paw-fect cameo on ‘Hollyoaks’, and fans will get the chance to see him strut his stuff in the famous village later this year.
"His dogs, Joyce and Bev, will also appear in his episode."
The ‘Chatty Man’ host was pictured on the ‘Hollyoaks’ Instagram page wearing a wig and sporting a fake moustache while standing alongside Amanda Clapham – who plays Holly Cunningham – Kieron Richardson (Ste Hay) and Jacob Roberts (Damon Kinsella).
Speaking on the Channel 4 soap’s Instagram Stories, he said: "Hello, I’m Alan Carr and I’m here on the set of ‘Hollyoaks’ with my dogs Joyce and Bev."
Alan was happy to pose for pictures with his pet pooches and cast members during his time in the famous village.
A series of posts on the ‘Hollyoaks’ Instagram page read: "Look who’s popped into #Hollyoaks for a visit! @chattyman is here with his doggies!
"Big smiles on set! Can’t help ourselves with @chattyman around… #crufts #Hollyoaks #SetSelfie (sic)"
Following the visit, he wrote on Twitter: "Thanks for looking after us!! (sic)"
Details of Alan’s cameo are yet to have been confirmed by the Channel 4 soap, and it’s not known if Clare will make an appearance on the programme.
The presenting pair’s show, ‘Crufts Extra’, sees them interview their famous friends and dog lovers, and has also seen them pit their wits on the annual canine show’s famous agility course.
Alan tweeted in March last year: "I’m about to do an agility course and I’ve only had a wine gum – I could die (sic)"
