Phoebe Waller-Bridge to star in new romantic comedy

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is to star in a new romantic thriller comedy.
The 32-year-old actress – who is best known for her starring role in the BBC comedy series ‘Fleabag’ – is set to write her new show called ‘Run’, which centres on two ex-lovers who made a pact 15 years ago.
The pair make a binding agreement which states that if they ever need to escape their lives, they could send each other a text message that simply reads, "RUN".
In the event of that happening, they’re both committed to dropping everything in their lives and disappearing together.
It has yet to be confirmed where the show will be broadcast in the UK, but according to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the BBC will be eager to secure the rights to the programme.
Following the success of ‘Fleabag’, Phoebe was suggested as a potential replacement for Peter Capaldi as the next ‘Doctor Who’.
Speculation about Phoebe’s potential involvement with the show reached feverpitch when she nervously responded to a question about ‘Doctor Who’.
Responding to the speculation, Phoebe said: "I … um … not allowed to say anything about that one way or another … It would be cool. But … quite … doing other stuff."
But the coveted role was ultimately handed to Jodie Whittaker, who has become the first actress to play the iconic Time Lord.
Jodie’s first full series as the Doctor is set to air later this year, having made her debut in the 2017 Christmas special ‘Twice Upon a Time’.
