Sally Dynevor leads tributes to Coronation Street producer John Goldie Temple

Sally Dynevor has led the tributes to former ‘Coronation Street’ producer John Goldie Temple, following his death.
The 84-year-old producer passed away on January 15 at a care home in Leicestershire following a series of strokes and Sally thanked him for giving her her big break on the cobbles.
She wrote on Twitter: "The wonderful John Temple gave me my opportunity on Corrie and I’m forever grateful #restinpleacelovelyman (sic)."
John first started work on the soap as a storyliner in the early 1970s, where he wrote more than 200 episodes.
He later returned in the 1980s as a producer and left in 1987.
According to The Scottish Herald, he said: "Those years working as a storyliner were the most beneficial period of my entire working life. The discipline of churning out storylines day in day out, 52 weeks of the year is an unbelievable learning curve."
One of his best known storylines as a producer was burning down the Rovers Return pub.
He explained: "It began with the need to revamp the pub and it became a big story – it got an audience of 24.5million."
Other memorable storylines included the breakdown of the Tilsley marriage and the wedding of Kevin and Sally Webster.
He is survived by his four children, David, Linda, John and me, Fiona, as well as 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
