Max Evans made his rugby mates cry with DOI routine

Max Evans is proud to have made his "rugby mates" cry with his performances on ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The 34-year-old sportsman and his professional partner Ale Izquierdo are favourites to win the celebrity skating competition and though the Scotsman would be thrilled if they do, he’s happy just to be impressing his pals with their stunning choreography.
He said: "I’ve had some of my rugby mates message me like, ‘Bro, I was actually crying watching it’ or, ‘It gave me goosebumps’. I mean, what a feeling to be able to do that."
Max also admitted he’s desperate for his costumes to get skimpier so he can flash more flesh but the producers on the show aren’t so keen.
He said: "I’m always trying to push to show a little more skin each week but the producers are strict.
"But if there’s enough of a desire from the public for me to show more skin, then they’ve got to do what the people want."
The rugby ace feels "very lucky" to have Ale as his partner because they have such great chemistry.
He told heat magazine: "I was very lucky to get her as a partner and it shows.
"The biggest complement we’ve got is how good our chemistry is.
"When I get comments about our chemistry – it’s such a huge compliment in terms of nailing our performances."
But despite their closeness on the ice, Max insists his girlfriend isn’t worried about the intimacy of their performances.
He said: "I’ve got the most incredible girlfriend.
"She’s so supportive, she’s also a dancer so she’s very understanding about the relationship you need to have with your partner in order to have chemistry to put in good performances."
