Samuel L. Jackson: Captain America shooting scared public

Samuel L. Jackson has revealed workers in Cleveland thought he was being shot at when he filmed scenes for ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’.

The actor reprises his role as super-spy Nick Fury in the Marvel sequel – which sees Chris Evans return as the titular superhero – and he recalls one shoot-out sequence filmed in the city left some office staffers fearing for his safety.

During an interview on ‘The Daily Show’ – which airs on ‘Comedy Central’ and ‘Comedy Central Extra’ – Jackson said: "At one point in the movie there’s a moment where you see 19 guys shooting at the car I’m in, the windows are bullet proof so I’m just sitting there feeling dope but the people in the office buildings didn’t know so they were looking out of the windows and were like, ‘F**k!’ "

Jackson is now a veteran of superhero and sci-fi films having appeared as Nick Fury six times with a contract to appear in another three movies and the three ‘Star Wars’ prequels.

The 65-year-old actor portrayed Jedi Knight Mace Windu in the trilogy and was thrilled when director George Lucas told him he’d make him look like the "baddest" man in the universe when he added CGI to his green screen scenes.

Jackson explained: "Lucas said, ‘You kick all the ass you want and we will make sure you look like the baddest motherf***er in the universe!

"So (I’m shooting and) I have the music playing in my head, making the lightsaber moves and then when I go to see it in the theatre I was like "F**k! Look at me!’ "
