Bobby Norris thought he was being ‘mugged’ on NTA red carpet

Bobby Norris thought he was "getting mugged" on the red carpet at the National Television Awards last night (23.01.18).
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star was left fearing for his life at the glamorous event, held at London’s The O2 arena, when he was unexpectedly jumped on by his former co-star Ricky Rayment and was pulled back into the centre of the carpet.
The 31-year-old reality TV star was busy explaining to BANG Showbiz how important ‘TOWIE’ means to him and how he wouldn’t change anything about the format when the hunk lunged at him from behind and almost wiped him out.
Bobby screeched: "Who’s that? Who’s that?" as he attempted to get Ricky off his back.
He then realised who it was and he said: "I thought I was getting mugged on the red carpet," before he threw his arms around the 27-year-old heartthrob, who was apologising profusely at reporters for disrupting the interview.
Bobby then composed himself and returned to finish what he was saying.
He said: "He looks lovely, blast from the past.
"Sorry, I thought I was getting mugged. I think someone has had a pre-drink bless him."
Meanwhile, Bobby will return to film ‘TOWIE’ over the next coming weeks and has admitted he’s sad that some people from the cast – including Amber Dowding – have been axed in order to bring some fresh blood to screens.
He said: "It’s always sad when people leave but ‘TOWIE’ is such an evolving show. It’s changed so much since it started and people’s journeys end before others’ but I’ve been told it’s mutual decisions. I’m excited to get back into filming."
