John Barnes leaves Celebrity Big Brother

John Barnes has been evicted from ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 54-year-old former footballer was one of the housemates who were nominated to face a backdoor eviction from the Channel 5 reality show on Monday’s (22.01.18) episode, and after his fellow housemates chose to send him home, he was quietly evicted from the competition.
John was nominated alongside Ann Widdecombe, Amanda Barrie and Daniel O’Reilly – aka Dapper Laughs – for eviction by the house, and after the two women defeated the males in a Battle of the Sexes, Ann and Amanda chose to boot John from the infamous abode and keep Daniel on the show.
The former sports star wasn’t too disheartened by his eviction though, as when he heard his name called out he simply said: "That’s life."
Speaking in the diary room after the result was revealed he said: "[I’m[ surprisingly okay because it happened so suddenly and unexpectedly so I haven’t had time for it to sink in.
"But I’m looking forward to seeing my wife and kids. I don’t feel that they don’t like me but they get on better with Dan.
"There’s no hard feelings at all, you could see they were upset, they’re all great people, I’ve had a great time in here."
As the eviction was done via the backdoor of the property, there was no live studio audience to greet him, and he will have to wait until Tuesday’s (23.01.18) episode to speak to host Emma Willis about his time in the competition.
The shocking backdoor eviction comes just one day before the planned live eviction is set to take place, where yet another celebrity housemate is set to leave the competition.
