Holly Willoughby keeps eyes shut on Dancing on Ice

Holly Willoughby keeps her eyes shut for most of ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter has just reprised her hosting role on the skating show alongside Phillip Schofield but has admitted there’s a lot of the programme she watches with her hands in front of her face because the moves the celebrities are doing are so dangerous and there’s a chance they could lose a finger live on air.
Speaking to the ‘Loose Women’ panel on Thursday (11.01.18), Phillip said: "Well when they fall down in training, they say ‘if you’re down on the ice, fingers in’ – because they are blades! They can take your fingers off!"
Holly added: "There’s a lot of the show I don’t watch, I have my eyes shut because I can’t watch it!"
‘Dancing on Ice’ returned to screens earlier this year following four yeas off-air but, despite the time that has passed, Holly is certain it still has the feel-good factor.
She added: "Do you know what? It’s really nice to be back it’s got that same feeling that it’s always had but it’s been given a boost."
And she is really enjoying seeing Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean adapt to their judging roles alongside Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner after being coaches for so long.
She explained: "They’ve got a different role and actually it’s really nice they had so much input before, but this time on the actual night you hear more from them."
Meanwhile, although the 36-year-old beauty is glad to be back presenting the programme, she says there’s no way she’ll slip on a pair of skates and hit the rink.
She explained: "It’s too dangerous! Way too dangerous!"
While Phillip would like to try his luck in the jungle for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, Holly suggested her talents and passion would lead her to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, although she doesn’t have the confidence.
She added: "I’m obsessed with ‘Strictly’, so I’d love to learn to dance, but I’d be embarrassed to do it on the telly, which would be a problem."
