Amber Davies wants to join a soap

Amber Davies wants to join a soap.
The ‘Love Island’ winner has been flooded with work offers since she left the famous villa last summer but she has admitted it’s her ultimate dream to land a role in a TV show like ‘EastEnders’ or ‘Coronation Street’ because she’s trained in musical theatre.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ on Wednesday (10.01.18), she said: "I definitely would love to go into a soap. I’ve trained for three years in musical theatre and that is one of my biggest dreams. I would love to use my talent and passion to do what I want and to have a long, nice, future in what I love to do …There’s a lot more to me than just being on ‘Love Island’ and, of course, I will also be grateful because it gave me that platform and I’ve experienced some incredible things since coming out and that will never ever go but I’m trying to work as hard as I possibly can."
And, although she’s pleased that the dating show – which she won alongside her now-ex-boyfriend Kem Cetinay – has catapulted her career, she never expected the success she’s had so far and she’s had to grow up very quickly in the limelight.
She explained: "When I signed up to ‘Love Island’, I didn’t think it would be as crazy as this. I’ve had to grow up a lot because you’re watched 24/7 but it’s good because now I’m not a crazy fool… sometimes."
The 21-year-old beauty has made no secret of the fact she’d like to go into acting professionally as she recently said she’d like to bag the main role in the army drama ‘Our Girl’ after watching Michelle Keegan take over from Lacey Turner in 2016.
She said: "I’m a trained actress and hopefully I can get back into it because it’s what I love. I’d love a part like Michelle Keegan’s in ‘Our Girl’. I know it wouldn’t be straight to that but you’ve just got to keep working hard."
