Miley Cyrus has helped a former ‘The Voice’ contestant find a home – and paid her deposit.
Janice Freeman was on Team Miley in the 13th season of the singing show in the US and was eliminated in the live shows.
But Miley, 25, has stuck by Janice long after her time on the show ended, when she found herself without a place to live.
Janice revealed on Twitter: "She found us placement until we found permanent housing, gave me the deposit, covered me for 6 months so I can get on my feet! @MileyCyrus you are one of my closest friends and what you did for me and my family Im praying GOD gives you the desire of your heart! (sic)"
She also posted an emotional video on Instagram saying: "Miley, you are my dawg, like my best friend, and I will defend you to the bitter end. You got somebody that got your back.
"I’m so overwhelmed and I need ya’ll to understand that it is time to go into 2018 believing God for real. Ya’ll don’t understand that you see these people on TV … but you don’t understand that these people are real. Her heart is so huge and she allows God to use her to bless my life."
Former ‘The Voice’ contestant Mitchell Lee tweeted: "When I say Season 13 of @NBCTheVoice is family, it’s not just us singers. Check out what @MileyCyrus did for @janice_freeman, not as her ‘coach’ but as her friend. Love both of these women and all my V13 family. I’ve got a feeling 2018 is going to be a huge year for compassion. [sic]"
Miley has been described as one of the most dedicated coaches the show has ever seen.
An insider previously told Us Weekly magazine: "She’s the show’s most devoted coach ever.
"She has a hand in choosing the hair, make-up and wardrobe for her team, and she goes to all the dress rehearsals when she’s not even paid to be there. Nobody else does that!"
