Adam Thomas’ panto is cancelled

Adam Thomas’ last two pantomime performances have been cancelled.
The 29-year-old actor has recently been appearing in a production of ‘Jack And The Beanstalk’ in Newcastle, where he’s been starring alongside veteran actress Denise Welch, but the final shows have been scrapped due to a pay dispute.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "The situation is that half the cast have not been paid. Some of the cast haven’t even been paid since the start of the production.
"They’ve repeatedly been promised payment and it hasn’t materialised … significant money is missing."
It was claimed too, that NS Pantomimes, the company behind the production, had an agreement in place that allowed them to house some of its cast with local landlords.
However, they were forced to seek alternative accommodation after the company was unable to pay their bills.
Adam was reportedly willing to take to the stage for the final two shows.
But as a sizeable number of his co-stars were not prepared to perform, the productions had to be cancelled.
A source told MailOnline: "Adam Thomas did not refuse to go on stage but other cast members did therefore the remaining shows could not go ahead as scheduled."
Meanwhile, Denis previously pulled out of the show because of complications with the production.
In a statement, she said: "I am so terribly upset and disappointed that I will no longer be appearing in the Times Square Pantomime in Newcastle.
"Those who know me and have supported me during my 40-year career will know how passionate I am about my job, Newcastle and its people.
"All I ever wanted was to star in a fabulous, spectacular pantomime that I have been publicising since February. If there was anything I could do to change this regrettable situation I would. Legally, I can say no more but I write this with a heavy heart."
