Andrea McLean missed her daughter’s nativity show twice

Andrea McLean missed her daughter’s school nativity twice.
The 48-year-old TV presenter was planning to take her parents to see her daughter Amy’s final nativity show at primary school but she admitted that she misread the times and missed the show twice.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (21.12.17), Andrea said: "Amy’s leaving primary school, this year is her last year before she goes to big school so it’s technically it’s the last primary nativity I will go see.
"So it was really important for me to go. I checked the website and it said 9.30am at the local church. Brilliant. So I got up, Nick was coming with me, rang my mum and dad are you coming too, yup.
"At 9.30 I was thinking everyone’s very small in this year and the teacher said no year 3 and 4 are 9.30, years 5 and 6 are 11.30am.
"Right… oh god, I was trying to ring my parents, they are already in with their phones are silent watching someone else’s children because Amy wasn’t there.
"They finally picked up my messages and they had to creep out so they did the walk of shame leaving the nativity.
"This one woman said are you not staying and my mum said no it’s not my granddaughter.
"Anyway we decided to do last minute buying and I thought we had time for a coffee, we sat in a coffee shop text goes from my dad it’s not 11.30 it’s 11.
"So then we had to get in the car, race across town. Got in bang on 11.30 and they were singing a carol so we were looking through the church doors.
"We will wait until this one finishes but the doors were at the front of the church so everyone is looking at you.
"We waited for it to die down and walked in heads hanging low and walked through the whole congregation.
"And as our bottoms did that on the seat, the headmaster said well done, well done everyone and thank you parents for making the effort to come today. We missed it twice.
"My dad’s face – he managed to make it – he was at the back of the church. Amy saw us walking in and walk of shame."
