John Boyega jokes Princes were ‘cut out’ of Star Wars movie

John Boyega has joked Prince William and Prince Harry were "cut out of" ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.
The 25-year-old actor – who portrays Finn in the sci-fi series – played a prank on national TV yesterday (14.12.17) when he pretended the royal pair were axed from the final edit of the motion picture.
When asked on ‘This Morning’ if the brothers played Stormtroopers in the hotly-anticipated movie, John replied: "They were but they were cut out of the film.
"I did personally apologise to them yesterday and said, ‘Sorry you were cut out of the film.’
"And Will was like, ‘I probably just need to work more on the skills.’ I was like, ‘Maybe bruv.’ "
But it has since transpired he was playing tricks on the show’s viewers.
His rep told Mail Online: "I can confirm he was joking."
Harry and William starred as Stormtroopers alongside the likes of Hollywood actor Tom Hardy and Take That singer Gary Barlow.
John previously admitted he was "sick" of trying to keep it a secret that William and Harry are in the motion picture.
He recently said: "I’ve had enough with those secrets. They came on set. They were there. I’m sick of hiding it. It think it was leaked, anyway."
It comes after the ‘Pacific Rim Uprising’ star admitted he’d grown tired of trying to deny the speculation surrounding the royal siblings’ involvement in the film.
He said: "There were images. Every time I get asked, I have to dodge it. I’m tired of dodging it. They were there. So was Tom Hardy."
