Sir Bruce Forsyth to be honoured with special variety show

Sir Bruce Forsyth’s life will be remembered with a very special variety show.
The BBC have announced plans to film a tribute to the late television presenter – who passed away in August at the age of 89 – at the London Palladium, the place which helped propel Sir Bruce to stardom.
It will be filmed on Wednesday 21 February 2018, just a day before what would of been Bruce’s 90th birthday.
There will be performances of Bruce’s favourite songs as well as dance performances to remember the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host. There will be onstage tributes as Bruce’s friends share fond memories of the late entertainer. Dave Arch and his famous ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ band and vocalists will be onstage, too, accompanying the performances.
The one-hour long show will be broadcasted on BBC One at a later date.
Charlotte Moore, Director of Content, said: "I couldn’t think of a more fitting tribute to our dear friend Bruce than this celebration at the Palladium – a theatre he so loved. Bruce was such a favourite with the BBC One audience who I know will savour this hour of entertainment, music and commemoration of a true showbiz legend."
Bruce Forsyth was previously honoured with a special "heartfelt" dance tribute on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, which he hosted for a number of years.
Louise Rainbow, the show’s executive producer, said at the time: "The thoughts of everyone here are still very much with Sir Bruce’s family. Of course, we will be paying tribute to Sir Bruce at our launch show and this will include a heartfelt performance from our Strictly professional dancers. We all want to celebrate him and all that he loved about the show. Sir Bruce was, and will always be, a huge part of ‘Strictly Come Dancing.’"
