Samantha Fox was paid $50k to sing at drug lord’s house

Samantha Fox was once paid $50,000 to sing at a Colombian drug lord’s daughter’s 21st party.
The 51-year-old singer has recalled feeling "like The Beatles" when she was greeted by 10,000 people in South America and went on to be handed the huge sum in cash before performing at a birthday bash.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she writes in her new autobiography ‘Forever’: "When we arrived in Colombia, George Bush’s war on drugs was going strong and no international stars were performing there.
"So when I arrived there were 10,000 people at the airport. They were so happy.
"After we’d done three shows this very serious looking guy came up to my tour manager and asked if I’d perform at his daughter’s 21st birthday the following night for $50,000.
"He literally handed over the cash there and then. I just thought he was a very rich man who wanted a gig for his daughter, but in retrospect I guess it’s pretty obvious what his business must have been."
Things didn’t always go well for Sam in South America, however, as she also revealed her manager made a mix up with the dates for one of her shows, which led to the ‘Touch Me’ hitmaker and her crew being held hostage until her dad flew in from England to pay a $100,000 ransom.
But things were on the up for Sam in India when she played a show in Delhi and the locals showed their support for her singing by exposing themselves – leaving her unsure whether to "laugh or cry".
She added: "I noticed all the men were lifting their shirts to expose their willies to me, which apparently meant they loved me or fancied me.
"I was trying to remember the words to my songs with 70,000 willies doing the propeller in front of me. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry."
This comes after Sam revealed earlier this week late singer David Cassidy once sexually assaulted her in a restaurant bathroom in May 1985 when she was just 19 years old.
