Shappi Khorsandi has been booted from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Shappi Khorsandi has become the first celebrity evicted from ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The 44-year-old comedian has officially left the Australian jungle after the public failed to save her during the first live eviction on the ITV reality show on Friday (01.12.17).
But she wasn’t too disheartened to leave the show though, as she admitted to being delighted to be reunited with her family, including her two children Cassius and Genevieve.
Speaking after her exit, she told show hosts Ant and Dec: "Can I be really honest with you? I’m so relieved. I’m so relieved, I miss my children like crazy. I’m really relieved to be out, I feel like I had the most incredible experience and I’ll never forget it. And I’m gonna see the guys when they come out, so there’s no point missing people that you’re gonna see again."
Shappi also doesn’t think her jungle experience was that bad, as she didn’t face as many gruesome tasks as some of her fellow camp mates.
Asked if her experience was everything she imagined it would be, she said: "Do you know what? I think I got off lightly, because I only got bitten by about 100,000 ants, and some people had it a lot worse. My last challenge wasn’t gory it was kinda funny and silly, and … Oh man it was amazing."
The Iranian-born star did struggle with the lack of food she received whilst in the jungle, as she admitted surviving on small rations "messed" with her head.
She said: "It messes with your head. It messes with your moods, of course it does, because you think we’re going to have games and we’re going to have fun, but everyone’s just so tired. And then like, in your real world you think the idea of getting five salt and vinegar crisps … Like we were so excited about those crisps."
‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ airs daily at 9pm on ITV.
