The Wild Things’ Sydney Rae White inspired by Busted

The Wild Things’ singer Sydney Rae White says she owes her passion for music to Busted.
The 25-year-old singer-and-actress – who is joined by her brother Cam White, husband Rob Kendrick and drummer Pete Wheeler in the rock band – is proud to say the pop rockers, best known for noughties hits ‘Year 3000 and ‘What I Go To School For’, have influenced her career.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz about her inspirations, Sydney – who recently acted alongside Michael Keaton in the movie ‘American Assassin’ – said: "I am the most pop one. Of course I will give a shout out to the band that started it all for me, Busted.
"They are living legends in my eyes. I still love them. The boys are actually going to proper give me s**t for that.
"Until they give me a shout out I am not going to stop mentioning them."
Meanwhile, asked what’s it’s like being in a band with her sibling and spouse, Sydney said it’s "awesome" and not difficult at all because she can speak to them "however the f**k" she likes.
She said: "It’s not hard. It rules because I love touring with Rob because we are this obnoxious soppy couple and we like touching and being groped.
"I’ve been in bands before when I was younger, and it was my friends and it didn’t work because we were too afraid to say when we were uncomfortable with anything because we didn’t want to hurt each other’s feelings.
"With these guys I can say what the f**k I want to. Like Cam that sucks or actually you are being a d*ckhead today.
"They will say that to me and that is awesome, that is the main thing I like about being with those two boys because there is so much truth."
The band recently released the music video for their single ‘Loaded Gun’ – which can be viewed now http://bit.ly/2jw3079 – and the band head out on a mini tour in the UK, kicking off on December 4 at Manchester’s Aatma and concluding at Folkestone’s The Harp Restrung in Kent, on December 22.

The Wild Things 2017 tour dates are as follows:
December 4, Manchester – Aatma
December 8, Liverpool – The Magnet – Popped Music Xmas Party in aid of Mind
December 10, London – The Old Blue Last
December 22, Folkestone – The Harp Restrung
