Kevin Feige confirms 20 more Marvel films

Kevin Feige has confirmed there will be 20 more films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 44-year-old filmmaker and Marvel Studios boss is preparing for two of the biggest movie mash-ups of all time – ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and the currently untitled ‘Avengers 4’ – but he has said anything after the fourth movie will be "completely different".
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Feige said: "Marvel is 22 movies in and we’ve got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything that’s come before – intentionally.
"’Avengers 4′ will bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale.
"There will be two distinct periods. Everything before ‘Avengers 4’ and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting. Everything after."
‘Avengers 4’ will be the last outing for Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) as their contracts are ending.
However, it has been known for some time that the franchise will continue with the likes of newcomers Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) and Brie Larson (Captain Marvel).
Larson is set to make her debut as Captain Marvel in the next instalment of the ‘Avengers’ franchise and is already working on her standalone movie.
However, Feige admitted he wishes Marvel Studios could have been the first to make a female-centred movie after the success of rival superhero studio DC Extended Universe ‘Wonder Woman’.
He said: "Yeah, I think it’s always fun to be first with most things. Everything’s going to work out. ‘Captain Marvel’ is a very different type of movie."
Although the original superheroes are set to leave the MCU, Johansson said in the same interview it is a "bittersweet feeling" but she is excited for the new generation.
She said: "I feel a lot of joy for the next generation. It’s a bittersweet feeling, but a positive one."
