Jamie Lomas’ daughter is "desperate" for him to eat bugs on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star’s six-year-old daughter Polly, whom he has with his ex-wife Kym Marsh, will be voting for him to do every Bushtucker Trial in the jungle from now on because she wants to see him squirm.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the Pride of Sport Awards, held at London’s Grosvenor House, last night (22.11.17), Kym said: "Polly is ecstatic to see him in it, I’ve known about it for quite some time but I’ve kept it from Polly, but when she found out he was going in she was telling everyone, ‘My dad’s going in the jungle!’ She’s just so desperate to see him eat bugs. She wants him to win and he can win, he’s a real man man’s so I think he’ll be OK with the trials. He’s a character and he’s got a personality, it just depends what they show of him and what he gets involved with. He’ll do really well but he doesn’t like rats though, that wouldn’t be a good trial for him. He’s not keen at all, I think rats would freak him out. Polly wants to vote for him to do everything, because the more he does then the more she’ll see of him."
Although the 41-year-old actress is hoping her former spouse wins the series, she’s also rooting for her ‘Coronation Street’ co-star Jennie McAlpine and will be equally happy if she takes the jungle crown.
She added: "I do want Jennie from Corrie to do well too so I’d be happy for either of them to win. Polly’s also really excited that her daddy and mummy’s friend are in their together. She’s very excited about that."
