David Heyman teases Fantastic Beasts thriller

David Heyman has teased ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ will be more of a "thriller".
The 56-year-old film producer brought all eight ‘Harry Potter’ films to the big screen and last year, he worked on the Eddie Redmayne-led spin-off ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, and now he is working on the anticipated sequel.
Unlike the 2017 movie Heyman has revealed the upcoming sequel – again – which again has been penned by ‘Harry Potter’ creator J.K Rowling – has a "very different feel than the first".
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Heyman said: "We delve deeper into Jo’s wizarding world – we’re in Paris, we’re in London and New York – the world is expanding. As you can tell from the image, we’re following quite a few characters. The new film has a very different feel than the first. It’s got a thriller quality. And it’s also a story about love and passion and all its forms – paternal, romantic, political. And it’s just a thrilling and very fun adventure. We took all we’ve learned from one and just expanded that and created a richer, deeper and more thrilling film which I’m excited to be part of."
On Friday (17.11.17), the title for the new movie was revealed to be called ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’.
Following on from the end of the first film, the sequel sees the Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald [Johnny Depp] escaping from the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA).
Now the wizard is gathering followers to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.
In order to stop him and his plans, a young Albus Dumbledore [Jude Law] enlists the help of Magizoologist Newt Scamander [Redmayne] who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead.
The new film sees Redmayne and Depp reprising their respective roles alongside a number of other returning casts Katherine Waterston, 37, as Auror Tina Goldstein, Alison Sudol, 32, as Queenie and Dan Fogler, 41, as Jacob Fowalski.
Ezra Miller, 25, is back as Credence, Zoe Kravitz, 28, will take on the role of Leta Lestrange and Callum Turner, 27, will play Newt’s brother Theseus Scamander.
David Yates, who helmed four ‘Harry Potter’ films and the first ‘Fantastic Beasts’, is set to return to the director’s seat for the next instalment with Rowling penning the script for the story which is set in 1927.
