The Leading Ladies plan second album

The Leading Ladies, Beverley Knight, Cassidy Janson and Amber Riley, are already making plans to record a second album.
The West End trio have just released their debut album ‘Songs From The Stage’ which is comprised of various musical hits such as ‘One Night Only’ from ‘Dreamgirls’, ‘I’m Every Woman’ from ‘The Bodyguard’ and ‘Memory’ from ‘Cats’.
The girls – who have all received critical acclaim for their stage performances – have had a phenomenal response to their record so far and have been praised for their live appearances and they’re already thinking ahead to their next LP.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz about their second album plans, ‘Beautiful’ star Cassidy, 37, said: "I think we’d like to do it … We’re waiting to see what happens to this one. Separately we have plans, but together, who knows?"
‘Bodyguard’ actress Beverley is also definitely up for it as long as the demand is there.
The 44-year-old singer – a three-time MOBO award winner – added: "We honestly need to see what happens with the record and see if the public get behind it or – they will I’m sure. This is unprecedented, so you can’t – we’ve got nothing to measure it against, cos this is so boxfresh. So we just have to see, what people make of it and then plan from that point onwards. Crossing fingers, toes, everything."
Amber, 31, also wants to continue working with the other members because they make such a great team – on stage and in the studio.
The former ‘Glee’ star said: "The way we work, it’s like, ‘Well can I try this part.’ It’s like everybody was just a team player, everybody was willing to be like, ‘Well you wanna try bottom, you just sing bottom.’"
The Leading Ladies LP ‘Songs From The Stage’ is available now.
