Anton du Beke won’t quit Strictly Come Dancing

Anton du Beke will "never" quit ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 51-year-old professional dancer has just been booted out of the competition after he and Ruth Langsford failed to impress the public and the judging panel but, although it’s rumoured he won’t return next year, he’s adamant he will be back – even if he’s not asked.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (14.11.17), he said: "No, never, never, never, never, never. Even if they don’t ask me back I’m still turning up."
Ruth and Anton were kicked out just one week before the ultimate milestone in the competition – performing at Blackpool Tower – and he has admitted he’s devastated because he was convinced they had a few more weeks left on the show.
He said: "I was very, very disappointed because I thought you had more weeks in you but it’s so final. When they go ‘thank you very much, we don’t want you anymore’, that’s it, you can’t just creep back into the studio because it’s the end. They pull the rug out from under your feet."
However, the pair certainly went out with a bang as they hit the headlines two weeks ago when Ruth, 57, straddled the choreographer after he accidentally fell at the end of their routine.
The presenter recalled: "I was trying to cover his embarrassment that he was the professional dancer that had fallen and not me. I thought ‘I will just get on top and just cover him so that he won’t be embarrassed.’ "
Anton added: "It was a beautiful moment, I loved it. And as I’m lying on the floor, suddenly the room went a bit dark. I thought ‘oh, you’re going to hate watching this back’.
"There is a lovely photograph from the end of the room, of us on the floor, my arms are out like this and all you see are my feet."
