Eminem to perform at MTV EMAs

Eminem is set to perform at the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) for the first time in four years.
The 45-year-old rapper – who has a whopping 15 EMA gongs to his name – will take to the stage at the glitzy awards show in London on Sunday (12.11.17) to perform the first global performance of his new single ‘Walk on Water’.
Bruce Gillmer, Head of Music and Music Talent, Global Entertainment Group, Viacom, and executive producer of the 2017 MTV EMAs, said: "With 35 EMA nominations and 15 wins under his belt, Eminem is no stranger to the EMAs and we’re thrilled to announce his highly anticipated debut will take place at our biggest night in music."
Eminem last performed at the MTV EMAs in Amsterdam in 2013, where he wowed crowds with his tracks ‘Berzerk’ and ‘Rap God’, and his performance this year will mark his fourth at the annual event.
During the same ceremony in 2013, the star was honoured with the coveted Global Icon Award, as well as taking home the gong for Best Hip Hop Artist.
This year, Eminem – whose real name is Marshall Mathers – is also in with a chance of swiping two more awards for his growing collection, as he’s been nominated for Best Hip Hop Artist once again, as well as Best Live Act.
The ‘Love The Way You Lie’ hitmaker joins a star-studded list of performers at this year’s ceremony, including the likes of U2, Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato, Liam Payne, Camila Cabello, Kesha, The Killers, Stormzy, Travis Scott, French Montana, David Guetta, and Clean Bandit, as well as the show’s host Rita Ora.
Meanwhile, Eminem took to Instagram earlier this week to tease his new single, when he shared a doctor’s note with the words "Walk on Water" written on it along with the advice of "take as needed".
The note also has the phone number "1-833-2GET-REV" and the website www.askaboutrevival.com printed on it.
Those who click on the URL are taken to a fake drug website, which is all about conditions which the fictitious drug REVIVAL can treat.
Along with a video the homepage reads: "Are you ready for REVIVAL?
REVIVAL is proven to effectively treat people with Atrox Rithimus. If you’ve tried other treatments without getting the AR symptom relief you need, REVIVAL could be music to your ears.
"Hikers in video not actual AR sufferers/hikers. (sic)"
The 2017 MTV EMAs will take place at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London on Sunday, November 12.
