Duchess Catherine to travel the UK

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, is set to take on more royal engagements around Britain now that her morning sickness has subsided.
The 35-year-old royal is currently expecting her third child with her husband Prince William and was forced to cancel several public appearances in September after being struck with hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness she also battled during her previous two pregnancies.
But now that Catherine – who already has Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, with her spouse – is pushing past the worst of her condition, she is said to be planning a number of trips around Britain to make up for the time spent recuperating.
A Kensington Palace source told the Daily Express newspaper: "The Duchess has been very unwell and has been forced to postpone and cancel a number of planned visits around the country this year.
"As her health improves in the weeks ahead she will be travelling to many regions of the UK for official visits and engagements."
The decision for Catherine to visit other parts of the country comes as it as been revealed that out of over 30 engagements undertaken by the royal this year, only three have taken place outside of London.
Her last UK engagement outside of the capital was on May 3 when she travelled to a farm in Arlingham, Gloucestershire.
Before that, she had visited the RAF centre in Wittering in February, and her first engagement of the year outside of London was at a children’s hospice in Quidenham in Norfolk in January.
Catherine’s battle with hyperemesis gravidarum has been partly to blame for her cancelled travel plans, as the engagements she was forced to pull out of would have seen her travel to Liverpool, Milton Keynes, and Belfast.
On Tuesday (07.11.17), the Duchess completed her 33rd royal engagement of the year when she attended a gala dinner for the Anna Freud Centre at her home in Kensington Palace.
It isn’t just visits around the UK that Catherine enjoys either, as this year has seen her travel to Paris, Poland, Germany and Belgium, and Luxembourg on official visits.
