Ray Fisher wants ‘intimate’ Cyborg movie

Ray Fisher thinks the Cyborg standalone movie should be "intimate".
The 30-year-old actor will step into the metal suit for his proper DC Extended Universe debut when ensemble movie ‘Justice League’ hits cinemas later this month, but that won’t be the last time fans get to see the star, as a standalone, eponymously titled movie is already in the pipeline.
And Ray – who was technically first seen as Cyborg in ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’, though in a non-speaking cameo role – already has his own ideas as to where he’d like the story of Victor Stone and his crime fighting alter-ego to go.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, Ray said: "Things are in development. If I had my druthers, I think a Cyborg standalone would be a slightly more intimate story. One of the things that I always think is interesting with these sort of universes, is whenever there’s a world threatening crisis, it always makes you wonder, ‘Where are the other members of the group? Why didn’t they show up?’ I think finding an organic way to explain why these characters have to have their solo mission."
The star is determined to make sure none of the other superheroes – including Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) – appear in Cyborg’s standalone, but knows it won’t be easy as his character lives on Earth with the others, unlike Superman who can go to "the deepest reaches of space".
He added: "Obviously, Aquaman, most of his stuff takes place under water. If Superman were to go to the deepest reaches of space, not many people could go with him. Those kinds of things could happen and it would make sense as to why the other heroes wouldn’t be able to tag along."
‘Justice League’ hits cinemas on November 16.
