Kerry Katona served with divorce papers

Kerry Katona’s estranged husband George Kay has served her divorce papers.
The Atomic Kitten singer’s former flame – who she married in 2014 – has asked to legally terminate their three-year marriage following their split over the summer but he’s requested that they do so through lawyers so that it’s amicable for their three-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge and Kerry’s kids Molly, 16, Lily-Sue, 14, Heidi, 10, and Maxwell, nine, whom she has from previous relationships, as they’re "innocent."
George’s representative told the Mirror Online: "George Kay has served a divorce petition upon Kerry Katona to end their six year relationship.
"His absolute priority is the well-being of their three-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge and his step-children Heidi and Max. Happily all the children are spending time with George during this difficult period.
"George is conscious of Kerry’s media profile and understands that there may be wider interest in this latest sad development.
"He is also aware that much of the couple’s marriage and its subsequent breakdown has been carried out in the public sphere – but wishes to draw a line under that today, particularly in the interests of all the children, who are completely innocent parties in this unfortunate situation.
"He sincerely hopes that this difficult process will be concluded solely through legal channels and in as dignified a manner as possible."
However, the 37-year-old star is likely to accept George’s divorce proposal as it’s believed she’s now dating Scottish comedian James English.
Despite now romancing someone else, Kerry recently admitted that she’s in "good place" right now, after accepting that her marriage to troubled George "is over."
She said: "I am absolutely amazing, I’m really good, yes I’m going through another divorce but it is what it is, it’s over and I’m happy and I’m moving on…
"He’s the father of my children and I wish George nothing but love and happiness.
"I hope he finds the peace to get the help he needs but I can’t continue to help someone when I need help myself and to take responsibility for my actions.
"I got to the point where I said enough is enough. I’m drained but I’m not sad, I’m excited about my future, and I feel empowered I walked away from a relationship that wasn’t a right one to be in."
