Sharon Osbourne: It’s great to see women having a voice

Sharon Osbourne is glad women are taking back the "power" from men.
The 65-year-old star thinks it is "absolutely amazing" that women have been speaking out publicly and "shaming" men such as Harvey Weinstein – who a number of actresses have alleged had sexually assaulted them over a 30 year period – as it shows women have a voice too.
She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "I don’t think it’s just film or TV. It’s in everything. But now I think it’s not going to happen any more because women have a voice. They have seen how strong that voice is when they all stick together and they have seen what it’s like to have guys outed in the music industry, in TV and in film. Women have a voice now and they know how to use it.
"Guys have always had the power and until there are more women in power, the balance won’t really shift. Except now, guys will be terrified because they don’t want to be outed. They’ve seen the shame. It’s amazing these women are speaking out, absolutely amazing. I love it."
It comes after Sharon praised Kim Kardashian West for being a "strong grounded woman".
She said: "It’s so ridiculous how these things happen … I was doing this interview, and [the reporter] said to me, ‘Have you heard that Kim Kardashian has come out as a feminist?’ … and of course I commented. She asked my opinion and I gave it.
"It wasn’t rude, it wasn’t … whatever [Kim] does, it’s showing her body. Which shows that she’s a strong grounded woman and she’s not ashamed of her body, she wants to show it, which is her business … people have been doing that since day one … it doesn’t make you a feminist. It got misquoted, when it came out, my response, and Kim came back and said, ‘I never said I was a feminist …you’re responding to something I never said.’"
