Nicola Roberts pens songs for Cheryl Tweedy

Nicola Roberts has written songs for Cheryl Tweedy.
The former ‘X Factor’ judge has kept a relatively low profile since she fell pregnant with her first child Bear, now seven months, last year, but it looks like she’s about to make a huge comeback on the music scene as her former Girls Aloud band mate – who she has remained in contact with since the group went their separate ways in 2012 – has been penning tracks for her over the past few months.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Nicola, 32, said: "I’m writing for Cheryl, and also for myself, so hopefully those songs are good enough to make it out into the world."
And, although she’s focusing on her own career at the moment, the flame-haired beauty has admitted it would be an absolute dream to pen some hits for Rihanna.
Asked who she’d like to write for, she simply said: "Rihanna."
Nicola may even follow her Cheryl’s footsteps one day and bag a seat on ‘The X Factor’ judging panel – but only if she can choose which mentors sit beside her.
Asked her dream panel, she said: "Lauryn Hill, Solange and Cardi B."
But, in the meantime, aside from writing music and focusing on her solo career, Nicola has teamed up with the renowned Spanish sparkling wine brand, Freixenet for their new Prosecco.
She said: "I chose to collaborate with Freixenet for the launch of its Prosecco as the brand ethos is something that really resonates with me. Prosecco is my favourite sparkling wine and it’s fantastic to be able to enjoy this particularly premium bottle. Whether I’ve got the girls round for a Saturday night takeaway or I’m popping fizz at a party, I live for those special everyday moments."
