Strictly Come Dancing bosses ‘fear Brendan Cole exit’

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses are concerned Brendan Cole might quit the show after he and Charlotte Hawkins were voted off.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ co-presenter and her professional partner were booted off the programme last night (15.10.17) after failing to impress the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Shirley Ballas, with their jive, fuelling speculation his options are being "weighed up".
A TV source said: "They don’t want him to leave. Deep down, Brendan doesn’t want to either – but options are being weighed up."
Brendan was said to have been disappointed to lose out to Shirley Ballas on the chance to replace Len Goodman as head judge for this series, and earlier this month he clashed with the new panellist, leaving producers fearing the 41-year-old star might leave for good.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "He loves being a part of the show, but his lack of promotion and clashes with judges this year have led top bosses to wonder how long he’ll stick around for."
Following his and Charlotte’s ‘Strictly’ exit, Brendan admitted he was feeling "really emotional" and was going to "miss" dancing with the newsreader.
He said: "Quite often you stand in this position and you go, ‘Hey it was our time to go’ and perhaps today it was our time to go.
"Not often you stand here with such sadness and go ‘I’m going to miss this and I’m going to miss hanging out with this girl.’
"I’m going to miss dancing with her, I’ve had one of the best Strictly’s in 15 years and it’s hard for me to even say that and I feel really emotional."
Earlier this month, Brendan hit out at Shirley following one of her comments about his and Charlotte’s tango.
Giving her views on the performance, Shirley told the pair: "She needs to stand on her own feet and we’ve established that there’s no rise and fall in Tango. So, we’ve got to make a concrete decision not to use rise and fall. So, no rise and fall."
But Brendan argued: "There was no rise and fall in that whatsoever."
Shirley then said: "Well, there is, Brendan. You should play it back and see."
Brendan fired back: "I will my dear, I will. There was no rise and fall."
